Meryl is Arkane's big brother. They had a great relation as kids until Arkane was taken away by the demons to attend the school of dark arts. Meryl on the other hand, stayed at home with their parents, learning how to command the powers he was born with from antique books and scrolls left behind by greater magicians. But he felt a very strong longing after his lost brother, and left hsi home by the age of 12 to search for him. By doing that, he deserted his studies of the magic, and learned only a few important spells. But the learning was nothing compared to finding his brother.
